So, as students are expressing serious concern about how much they're learning in Algebra (and how much they're not learning) and how they're not going to be able to pass the state standards for class... Speaks one brilliant mind:
"Did you know you can take a bus apart with a phillips-head screw driver?"

"I'm going in the boys' bathroom to cut it off, and then I'm gonna' turn his nasty in."

At which point I just stopped and HAD to hear what the explanation was:

"You know how ... kissed me? He told me it didn't mean anything? Well, he just did it again and than he told me the same thing. Again! I swear..." And here it got a little too explicit for my delicate sensibilities!

Guys - this is not how to enamor yourself to the girls.
Girls - if his face is inches from yours, you know what's coming next! Duck and run if it's all that bad!

On the purpose of education

First of all, no one ever does anything important in school! It's really all a conspiracy to keep kids from having fun. Secondly - I don't think I'd be rubbing 2 weeks at the beach in the face of an overworked, underpaid teacher who probably wants to be at the beach even more than that kid does!
